Elks' National President Visits Somerville Lodge #1068


BRIDGEWATER, NJ  - The national president of the Elks organization will visit New Jersey Nov. 8-11, including a stop at the Somerville Elks Lodge #1068 Nov. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Malcolm M. McPherson's visit coincides with the Elks 150th anniversary and annual Fall Conference.

The Elks have raised over $5 billion nationwide, an investment of funds, volunteer efforts and other resources.

New Jersey Elks clubs havestablished a successful Peer Leadership program which McPherson intends to use as a model for a nationwide program for high school students.

In addition to speaking with state members Mr. Mc Pherson will be visiting several of the operations that are supported by or through the state organization or funded totally by the New Jersey Elks.

Notable programs supported by the New Jersey Elks include outreach to veteran’s, homeless veteran’s, special children funding and education, youth activity programs scholarships and community projects..

The following lists the visiting schedule for our ELKS National President, which we would love to have you attend to get a full picture of what the NJ ELKS and Malcolm are doing for the state:

McPherson will also visit the Elks in Clifton Nov. 9 at noon at 1481 Main St.

The Somerville Elks Lodge is located at 375 Union Ave. (Route 28) in Bridgewater
