Hillsborough Rotary Sponsors "Beautiful" Excursion to Broadway


HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The township's Rotary Club is sponsoring a bus excursion to Broadway and tickets to the Tony-Award winning musical "Beautiful," the story of songwriter and performer Carole King on Saturday, March 4.

The price of $127 includes tickets in the front mezzanine and round-trip transportation on a luxury coach bus.

Curtain time is 8 p.m. at the Stephen Sondheim Theater located 143 43rd St.

Jessie Mueller, who portrays Carole King, won the 2014 Tony Award for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role.

The Broadway excursion begins at 6 p.m. when the bus leaves from the Park and Ride NYC commuter lot located in the Promenade shopping plaza on Route 206.

"We’d love to have others from our community join us," said Rotary member Greg Burchette, organizer of the trip. "Please invite your friends to join the fun. This excursion is not limited to Rotary members," he added.

Hillsborough: Petitions For and Against APEX Sports Facility Circulate Online

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The public’s response to  a pair of online petitions for and against the proposed APEX Sports & Events facility are running 10 to 1 in favor of the 210,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor athletic complex, proposed for a 40-acre site on Mountain View Road adjacent to the 369-acre Mountain View Park.
