Luck o' the Irish: 26 Degrees in Somerville for 26th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade


SOMERVILLE, NJ - Despite the sub-freezing 26-degree temperatures, Irish eyes were smilin' during the borough's 26th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, with thousands of spectators lining the Main Street parade route.

The Somerville High School Marching Band, the Immaculata High School Spartans Band, Pipe and drum bands with bagpipes blaring were a big hit, with Irish step dancers, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies in the line of march along with firemen, fire trucks, civic groups and floats drawing cheers from the crowd.
