Neshanic Valley Golf Course Hosts Free Memorial Weekend Golf Clinic for Veterans and Active Duty Personnel


BRANCHBURG, NJ – The Somerset County Park Commission will celebrate Memorial Day with a free golf clinic and free 9-hole round of golf for active duty and veteran service men and women at the Callaway Golf Learning Center at Neshanic Valley Golf Course.

Located at 2301 South Branch Road, the free clinic will be run by Neshanic Valley golf professionals, from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, May 28.
Following the clinic, participants will be able to play a complimentary 9-hole round on the Academy Course, adjacent to the Callaway Learning Center. A power cart will be provided.
Individuals participating must provide evidence of active or veteran military service. Somerset County residency is not a requirement for participation. Individuals wishing to attend clinics can do so by calling the Neshanic Valley Learning Center at 908-369-8232 or register the day of the event at the Learning Center.

“As a Memorial Day tribute to those who have served and are serving, the Somerset County Park Commissioners and staff are taking a moment to offer a small thank you for all that our service men and women are doing and have done,” said Bob Ransone, deputy director, Golf Division, Somerset County Park Commission.
The Neshanic Valley Learning Center and the Callaway Golf Performance Center is a state-of-the-art fitting, practice, and play facility that features a double-ended driving range with grass and mat hitting areas on each end, a 16,000 square foot putting green, a practice facility including bunkers and three chipping greens, and two practice holes.
The Callaway Golf Performance Center offers a state-of-the-art computerized golf club fitting and swing analysis system operated by Callaway-trained professionals.
The Performance Center incorporated high-speed cameras with sound equipment to capture swing data that provides optimum club specifications for an individual’s golf swing.

Measurements include club head speed, ball speed, launch and side angle, backspin, trajectory shape, sidespin, swing tempo, attack angle, lie angle, impact efficiency, and shot results.

The Center also features two High Definition Golf Simulators providing the opportunity to play the most famous courses from around the world.
