Piscataway Resident to Compete on ABC’s ‘The $100,000 Pyramid’

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Local resident Alexandra Bernard-Simmons will be a contestant on the new version of the classic game show, "The $100,000 Pyramid" airing Sunday, July 17 at 9 p.m. on the ABC-TV.

The show is hosted by pro football Hall of Famer and TV personalit, Michael Strahan.

“The $100,000 Pyramid” is the timeless word association game in which two celebrities and their partners face-off in a race against the clock to make it to the winners circle and take home $100,000,” said Strahan.

In the upcoming episode, Bellamy Young (ABC’s “Scandal”) competes against comedian/musician Weird Al Yankovic in the first game, while in game two, actor Tony Hale (“Veep”) and actor Justin Long square-off with hopes of making it to the winners circle.

Joining the celebrity guests are Kyle Gelling of West Islip, New York; Rob Walstead of Minneapolis, MN, Trent Brookshier of Upland, CA, and Alexandra Bernard-Simmons of Piscataway, NJ.

“I grew up in Roselle and I’ve lived in Piscataway with my husband, Dorryn and my son, Elijah for the last six years,” said Bernard-Simmons.

“I would commute to Piscataway for work and fell in love with the township," she added. "My family is very active in the community. My son plays Pop Warner football, and he will be attending Schor Middle School this year.” 

Bernard-Simmons said that she had been working on another TV project when the opportunity to compete on the Pyramid game show came up.

“I was able to wear yellow which is my power color, on the show,” she said. “I was very excited, and I came to win.”
