Seminars Examine Changes in Social Security Benefits, Estate Planning

The Arc of Somerset County will host two free seminars open to the public in March and April focused on upcoming changes in Social Security benefits and the impact of new tax laws on retirement benefits.

“Securing Peace of Mind: Changes to Social Security Benefits Beginning May 1st”  will be presented by Stephen Oliver of Manhattan Ridge Advisors at The Arc of Somerset County’s Adult Training Center, 2320 Camplain Road, Hillsborough on March 15 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Topics that will be covered include 3 key changes in Social Security regulations that may affect individual’s current benefits; strategies affecting benefit amounts as well as changes to spousal, divorce and survivor benefits.

“Income Tax Reduction and Estate Tax Elimination Seminar” will be the topic at the Raritan Valley Community College Conference Center, 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg on Tuesday, April 5, 6-8 p.m., presented by Sal Salvo, co-founder of Summit Financial Resources and co-founder of the Institute for Family Wealth Counseling, both located in Parsippany. 

This free seminar that is open to the public will explore the impact of new tax laws on estate planning, tax implications for IRA and 401 K retirement accounts, and ways to create substantial income tax deductions.

Somerset County Flags at Half-Staff to Honor Grace Gurisic, First Woman Freeholder
