SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Employers Legislative Committee will host state Sen. Tom Kean, Jr. (R-21) at a luncheon on Friday, October 25th at Verve Bistro, Bar, & Lounge, 18 East Main St. from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m..

Kean is the Minority Leader of the New Jersey Senate and sits on the Senate Higher Education, Senate Commerce, and Legislative Oversight committees. His legislative district includes the Somerset County municipalities of Bernards, Far Hills, Warren, and Watchung.

Kean is also seeking the GOP nomination to run for the House of Representatives in the 7th District against Rep. Tom Malinowski, D-7) next year.

Kean is expected to address issues of concern to the business community including the one seat ride to Manhattan and the status of New Jersey economic incentive program.    

“Tom Kean has a proven record of effective leadership in both the State Assembly and now in the Senate," said Carol Bianchi, co-chair of the Somerset County ELC.
