Somerville Church Hosts Forum on Active Shooter and Other Threats

SOMERVILLE, NJ  - St. John's Episcopal Church will host an awareness program - "An Active Shooter and Other Threats - on Monday, Nov. 14th  beginning at 7 p.m.

The church is located at 158 West High St.  Refreshments will be served following the presentation. 

"This particular issue continues to be a challenge for all citizens," said Rev. Ron Pollock, rector of St. John's. "We all share in caring for our beloved community here in Somerville and surrounding areas."

Dr. Richard Celeste, director of the Somerset County Police Academy will present the program.

The-one hour program is designed to increase the awareness level of parishioners, neighbors and guests.

"What you can do before and during a potential event in concert with a historical framework will be the emphasis of the program," Pollock added.
