FRENCHTOWN, NJ  -The Somerville High School Pioneers concluded their undefeated regular season schedule Friday night on the road with another lopsided victory, pounding the Del Val Regional Terriers by a score of 58-27.

Quarterback Jalahn Dabney had a career game, throwing 4 TD passes and rushing for 3 more.

The Pioneers overpowering offense, led by Dabney, scored all of its points in the first half – 30 in the first quarter, 28 in the second quarter.

The Terriers scored 13 points in the first half and 14 in the second half.

Dabney was extremely accurate with his throws, going 13-16 for 237 yards. He carried the ball 5 times for 157 yards.

The senior quarterback spread the ball around, with TD passes to four different receivers: Robbie Fiorentino, Ethan Hillman, Kyree Hinton and Duke McDuffie, who also scored on a 54-yard run. Fiorentino, Hillman  and McDuffie were also successful on two-point attempts.  Kicker Bobby Wortman converted on 5 extra-point attempts.

Steven Hrabinski ran the ball 8 times for the Pioneers, accumulating 73 yards.

AJ Pena led the Pioneers defensive unit with 7 tackles; Tyir Williams had 5 tackles, as did Eric Bryant who also snagged the Pioneers only interception of the game.

Coach  Jeffrey Vanderbeek’s squad finishes the regular season with a record of 9-0, scoring 436 points, with the defense allowing opponents to score 118 points.
