BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan softball team scored eight runs in the second inning and went on to a 16-2 victory over Somerville Saturday night.

Sammy Mazzagatti pitched a four-hitter and went 3-for-5 with an RBI to fuel the 13-hit attack for the Panthers (6-4), who led 9-0 after two innings.

Samantha Artuso went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Jalynda Mercado and Grace Venuto each had two hits for BRHS. Kristen Lee contributed a two-run single.

Mazzagatti struck out three and walked four in five innings.
