Somerville Memorial Day Parade Concludes with Services at New Cemetery



SOMERVILLE, NJ - The borough's Memorial Day celebration begins with the annual Memorial Day Parade at 9 a.m. on Grove Street.

Groups marching in the parade will come together in the vicinity of the Historic Somerset County Courthouse and the county Adminisration Building before heading north on Grove Street; the parade will make a left onto Main Street, and another left onto Mechanic Street.

The parade will pause at the corner of High Street and Mechanic Street for a brief ceremony at the bridge Veterans' Memorial site.

The line of march will resume after the ceremony and make a left on to High Street and continue west on High Street before making a left on to Davenport Street.

The parade will then make another left on to West Main Street and head east before making a right on to South Bridge Street, passing beneath the NJ Transit trestle and arriving at New Cemetery for a Memorial Day Remembrance.
