Somerville: St. John's Episcopal Church Welcomes All to Christmas, New Year's Services

SOMERVILLE, NJ - All are welcome to the St. John’s Episcopal Church Christmas and New Year’s services.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, under the spiritual direction of the Rev. Ronald Pollock, is located at 158 West High St.  St. John’s is handicapped accessible.  Ample parking is available in the church lot behind the church or on the street.

Saturday, Dec. 24 Christmas Eve: 4:30 p.m. Children’s Christmas Pageant and Festive Celebration of the Holy Eucharist; 11 p.m. special candlelight Christmas Music sung by the Senior Choir and congregation, followed by Festive Celebration of the Holy Eucharist with music and brass.

Sunday, Dec. 25 Christmas Day: 9 a.m. Festive Holy Eucharist with carols, hymns.

Saturday, Dec.31 New Year’s Eve: 5 p.m. Holy Eucharist

At St. John’s, weekly Sunday services are conducted at 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. with music. St. John’s offers Sunday School every Sunday at 10:15 a.m. preceded by “Children’s Chapel” at 10 a.m. which features the rector offering a brief children’s message.

Among its many programs, St. John’s hosts the SHIP's Galley Soup Kitchen three days a week and a monthly thrift shop with proceeds going to non-profit agencies.
