SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Employers Legislative Committee begins the new year with a luncheon presentation on the legislative priorities of the 16th District representatives on Friday, Jan. 26 at Verve Restaurant, Bar & Bistro, 18 E. Main St., from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Guest speakers will be state Sen. Christopher "Kip" Bateman, R-Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Mercer; Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker, D-16th and Assemblyman Roy Freiman, D-16th.
The 16th Legislative District covers parts of Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties. Bateman has been in the Legislature since 1994; Freiman is newly elected; Zwicker has served since 2016.
The lawmakers will discuss how activities in Trenton can impact the Somerset County business community and how interaction among businesses and elected representatives may be focused on positive and productive outcomes.
“Having our three representatives in the room at the same time will provide us the unique opportunity to discover how Somerset County businesses can benefit from the agenda coming from both sides of the aisle, said Carol Bianchi, co-chair of Somerset ELC.
