HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Hundreds of 42- and 53-foot interstate tractor trailers visit the Midpoint Logistics Center off Route 206 weekly to drop off and pick up freight.

But with no trucks in sight, and 70-degree temperatures making it feel like spring, it was time for the neighborhood roosters and chickens to visit and strut their stuff on the grounds of what used to be Veterans Industrial Park.

The birds flew their coop, located along the fence line of the industrial and warehousing complex, and snuck through a hole in the fence to stretch their legs, soak in the sun and peck at the ground before realizing they had wandered from home.

After a short time on the lam, the flock returned safely to their backyard coop, one at a time, waiting for their turn to sneak back through the fence.
