FLEMINGTON, NJ - New Jersey Greyhound Adoption Program (NJGAP) will host a greyhound Meet & Greet on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Lone Eagle Brewing, 44 Stangl Rd. from 6 to 9 p.m.

NJGAP volunteers and their dogs will be there to discuss greyhound adoption. A very sweet, adoptable white with black patches female greyhound named "Takayla" will be there for the public to meet.  Takayla arrived from Daytona, Fla. on Dec. 2, along with another adoptable greyhound, a black female named "Effe".  "Effe" may also be in attendance.

NJGAP is based in Hunterdon County and has rescued more than 2,500 greyhounds since 1993. Visit NJGAP on Facebook for photos and bios of available dogs for adoption at www.facebook.com/NJGAP. Prospective adopters can email NJGAP at njgap@hotmail.com to request a .pdf pre-adoption application.

NJGAP also has a fun, interactive, public presentation of "The Greyhound Story" available for groups and organizations (such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, churches, libraries and seniors) who would like to learn more about greyhound rescue and adoption. NJGAP also always needs foster homes to help rescue more greyhounds.  NJGAP's hotline is 908-713-9344.
