The website not only has information about restaurants and eateries serving up takeout, delivery and curbside pick-up options, but also contains direct links to retail businesses offering online shopping and virtual experiences.

“Social distancing doesn’t mean you have to forego the staples of downtown Somerville,” Pineiro said. “The Somerville at Home site even features videos from your favorite businesses with tips, recipes and activities that will bring us into the comfort of your home.”

The website will be updated frequently to ensure the most current and accurate information on all things related to downtown.

And while Pineiro and the rest of Downtown Somerville are anxiously awaiting the day when it can be “business as usual,” they are committed to staying connected with their customers via this new site and their social media platforms which feature challenges, contests and special content to transform “social distancing” into physical distancing and social connectedness.
