SOMERVILLE, NJ – Performance artists who reflect the Somerset County’s diversity, are being sought to display their talents at the upcoming Diversity Festival to be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Somerville.

Six slots are available. The county is offering a fixed payment rate of $100 per musician, not to exceed $1000 per band. All other artists or performers will receive a fixed rate of $200. The time slots that need to be filled are 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., 12 to 12:45 p.m., 12:45 to 1:15 p.m., 1:15 to 1:45 p.m., 1:45 to 2:15 p.m. and 2:15 to 3 p.m.

Preference will be given to performance artists/groups that are based in Somerset County and have experience with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the State Teen Arts Festival, a neighboring County Cultural & Heritage Commission, an established non-profit arts organization, or any artist who is a qualified professional in his or her field.
