The scholarships were funded in part by proceeds raised through the PTO's annual Balloons in June celebration.

The balloons are sold to parents and friends to present to graduating seniors and are inflated, bundled and delivered by vvolunteers prior to graduation. This year's total of 2,800 balloons surpassed all other years' totals. Money raised is also used to defray expenses of the annual Project Graduation party, being held this year at Rutgers University for all members of the class of 2019.
