SOMERVILLE, NJ - Somerset County residents who receive automated “robocalls” announcing a change in their polling location are advised that this is a scam.

Both the Board of Elections and the County Clerk’s Office have received reports of calls like this from residents of several towns, according to Somerset County Election Board Administrator Jerry Midgette and Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5th. Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout Somerset County. In addition to municipal elections for local governing boards and school boards, there are races for Somerset County Freeholder, Somerset County Sheriff and the state Assembly.

Residents should check the sample ballot they received in the mail, which gives their correct voting location. Questions can be directed to the Board of Elections at 908-231-7084 or ElectionBd@co.somerset.nj.us
