HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - As a result of COVID-19 related risks and restrictions, the Rotary Club of Hillsborough has decided to cancel this year’s annual Rotary Fair, held each August at the Hillsborough Promenade, 315 Route 206 adjacent to the Lowe’s parking lot.

“We are greatly disappointed to have to cancel this year’s fair,” said Tricia Marciano, Rotary president. “The fair is not only a highly anticipated annual tradition for Hillsborough families, it is our major fundraiser.  However, we look forward to bringing the Fair back better than ever in 2021.”

Each year, the revenue raised by the fair is donated by the Rotary to schools and non-profit organizations.

More than 15,000 people attend the five-day fair each year, which features an old-fashioned carnival midway with 20 or more rides, games of chance, food vendors, a dunk pool, farm animals, fireworks and displays by local businesses.

The Rotary Club of Hillsborough has 35 active members, including business and professional leaders and retirees who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

While its bi-monthly dinner meetings are currently suspended during the COVID-19 crisis, the Hillsborough Rotary Club continues to meet virtually every other Wednesday.  We invite those interested in joining Rotary, or merely learning more about the organization, to visit our website hillasboroughnjrotary.com or our Facebook page.  You may also contact our membership chairperson, Ben Rozenblat, at brozenblat@shelfgenie.com
