Hundreds of head-scratching historic, musical, pop culture and a few special Irish questions will be presented in a competitive format Friday night, June 7, by the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, from 7-9:30 p.m. at The Columbus Hall, 495 East Main St.
Trivia Night proceeds will be donated to Operation Shoebox New Jersey, a non-profit organization that ships personal care packages to US troops deployed around the world.
ProveIt AllNightTrivia, experts at providing the answers to the questions, will work with the Hibernians to challenge guests with the myriad of questions. It will be up to each table to answer each question, with a running tally of correct answers over ten rounds that will be computed to pick first, second and third place winners, according to Ryan Green, vice-president of the local AOH chapter and chair of the Trivia Night event. Each member of the winning teams will receive a gift.
Round-by-round results will be announced to maintain a high level of competiveness, according to Green.
Tickets at the door are $30; guests are encouraged to bring their own food and snacks. There will be an open cash bar, with light snacks, soft drinks, water, tea, coffee and dessert provided by the AOH at no charge.
Operation Shoebox New Jersey volunteers have shipped over 156,000 care packages to US troops since 2005.
Further information is available by contacting Green online at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (908) 752-3667 to reserve seats.
