SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 related deaths continues to climb, with 105 reported in Somerset County, increasing by 18 overnight, and 3,156 in New Jersey, up from 2,805 on Tuesday, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.
There are 1,827 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the Somerset County Department of Health on Wednesday afternoon.
There are 54 cases in Somerville, according to the SCDOH; Somerset County reported 85 new cases overnight.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 35 Franklin Township residents, an increase of 11 overnight; 24 in Bridgewater; 10 in Green Brook; 8 in North Plainfield; 6 in Bernards Township, 5 in Hillsborough, 3 in Warren; 3 in Bedminster; 2 in Bound Brook; 2 in Watchung. and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardville, Branchburg, Manville, Somerville and South Bound Brook.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills, Millstone, Raritan or Rocky Hill.

Statewide, there is a total of 71,030 cases, an increase of 2,206 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 3,156, an increase of 351 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 72,991 negative test results.
