SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County increased to 178 on Wednesday, increasing by 5 overnight, with 5,063 in New Jersey, up from 4,753 on Tuesday, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.
There are 2.292 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the SCDOH, an increase of 80 overnight.
There are 75 cases in Somerville, with five deaths reported.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 54 Franklin Township residents; 35 in Bridgewater; 14 in Bernards Township, 14 in Green Brook; 10 in Hillsborough; 9 in North Plainfield; 8 in Warren; 8 in Watchung, 7 in Bound Brook; 5 in Somerville; 4 in Bedminster;; 4 in Raritan; 2 in Branchburg; 2 in Manville, and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardsville, Montgomery, and South Bound Brook.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills or Rocky Hill.

Statewide, there is a total of 95.865 cases, an increase of 3,478 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 5,063, an increase of 310 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 95,794 negative test results.
