SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health reported a total of 2,979 coronavirus cases on Monday, with 237 COVID-19 related deaths.
There are now more than one million COVID-19 cases in the United States; worldwide, the number of cases has exceeded 3 million.
The NJ Department of Health reported 113,856 cases, with 6.442 COVID-19 related deaths.overnight, an increase of 398 since Tuesday, a significant increase over the previous two days, when 75 deaths were reported on Monday and 106 on Tuesday.
There are 92 cases in Somerville.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 75 Franklin Township residents; 40 in Bridgewater; 24 in Bernards Township; 17 in Green Brook; 16 in Hillsborough; 15 in North Plainfield;; 11 in Watchung; 9 in Warren; 7 in Bound Brook; 4 in Somerville; 5 in Raritan; 4 in Bedminster; 2 in Branchburg; 2 in South Bound Brook; 2 in Manville, and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardsville and Montgomery.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills or Rocky Hill.

Statewide, there is a total of 113,856 cases, an increase of 2.673 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 120,503 negative test results.
There are 1,003,328 cases in the United States, with 57,533 deaths; worldwide, there are 3,090,844 cases and 215.063 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
