SOMERVILLE, NJ - Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-7th) has launched a link on his website to help residents of his central New Jersey congressional district to reach out and say thank you to those on the front lines of the battle against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

"While we all continue to practice social distancing, doctors, nurses, first responders, grocery store workers, sanitation workers, public service workers, and so many others who are deemed essential are continuing to go to work each day to keep our communities running," Malinowski said.

Residents of all ages are encouraged to participate in the “Say Thank You to Our Local Heroes” initiative by writing a letter, typing a message, drawing a picture, and submitting their work digitally.

The collected notes will be shared on Malinowski’s website and social media pages, and will be sent directly to local hospitals, nursing homes, emergency service responders, and essential businesses. Message submissions are ongoing.

“During this challenging time, it is important to remember to say thank you to those working on the front lines,” Malinowski said. “New Jersey’s essential workers continue to go to work each day to keep us safe, and to keep our communities running.  We are grateful.”
