TRENTON, NJ - Gov. Phil Murphy has been on the phone on a daily basis with President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and other high-ranking federal officials making his case for additional federal assistance to fight the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on the Garden State,
Those efforts are paying off.
Murphy posted some good news on his Facebook page Saturday, listing quantities of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) that arrived in New Jersey overnight.
The following is Murphy's post:
"Following conversations with President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, we received a critical shipment of PPE from the federal stockpile last night:
120,000 N95 masks;
287,000 surgical masks;
62,000+ face shields;
51,000+ surgical gloves;
368,000+ pairs of gloves;
1,000 medical beds.
"We're thankful to our federal partners for their support. New Jersey is in the epicenter of the #COVID19 pandemic and we'll keep working to get more of the PPE we need to keep New Jerseyans safe."
