Rolling Thunder Stands Up to Honor 86,000 Comrades Listed as MIAs/POWs

HOLMDEL, NJ - POW - MIA is an acronym for Prisoners of War and Missing in Action, but there are those who do not recognize it or understand its significance.

RARITAN, NJ – A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Sept. 12 at the new Veterans Park on West Somerset Street.

Lance Introduces Veterans Health Care Freedom Act Legislation to Relax 40-Mile Rule

FLEMINGTON, NJ - Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7th) has introduced the Veterans Health Care Freedom Act in the House of Representatives to do away with the ‘40-mile rule’ determining eligibility for the Veterans Choice Program.

Volunteers Needed to Assemble Care Packages for US Troops Overseas

 

BRIDGEWATER, NJ  - Volunteers are needed to assemble personal care packages that will be shipped to US troops deployed around the world on Saturday, July 22, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at TD Bank Ballpark.

The Somerset Patriots and Operation Shoebox New Jersey will host the event; members of the Patriots are expected to help out packing boxes.

Somerville HS Grad and Army Vet Throws Out First Pitch at TD Bank Ballpark

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Army veteran Sais Singh, a 1993 graduate of Somerville High School and former resident of Branchburg, was invited to TD Bank Ballpark Friday night by the Somerset Patriots to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the start of the game.
