Frozen Ponds in Somerset County Parks Open for Ice Skaters

The Somerset County Park Commission has cleared the snow from the frozen ponds in Colonial Park in Somerset and Duke Island Park in Bridgewater to accommodate ice skating.

Mettlers Pond at Colonial Park in Somerset and the Duck Pond at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater both are frozen at least 4-5 inches thick,, with Park Rangers on duty.

Snow or No Snow - Somerset County Offers Cross Country Skiing Instructions

BASKING RIDGE, NJ – The Somerset County Park Commission will offer “Introduction to Cross Country Skiing” at the Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road on Saturday, Jan. 6 from 1:30-3 p.m.
