SOMERVILLE, NJ – St. John’s Episcopal Church invites all to Welcoming Sunday on Sept. 8th.
Welcoming Sunday is an opportunity to learn about mission, ministry, activities and community life at St. John's. Displays and informational tables will grace the Parish Hall after both the 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services. There will be a special Welcoming Sunday coffee hour in the parish hall following both services.
“At our Welcoming Sunday, we'll be welcoming everyone back from summer vacation,” said the Rev. Canon Ronald Pollock, rector. “We'll be registering all the Sunday School students for the coming year. We'll be greeting new members, visitors, and our congregation. All are welcome.”
In addition to the community service and mission work of St. John’s, there are two choral choirs: the Junior Choir of girls and boys, and the Senior Choir of adults. Both choirs are vital and important to the worship at St. John’s. If you are interested in the choirs and would like more information contact Jefferey Clearman, Organist/Choirmaster at email@example.com.
