SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County increased to 76 overnight, with the overall death toll in New Jersey increasing to 2,183; there are 1,549 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the Somerset County Department of Health on Thursday afternoon.
There are 48 cases in Somerville, according to the SCDOH; Somerset County reported 107 new cases overnight.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 20 Franklin Township residents; 16 in Bridgewater; 8 in North Plainfield; 8 in Green Brook, 5 in Bernards Township, 5 in Hillsborough, 3 in Warren; 2 in Bedminster; 2 in Bound Brook; 2 in Watchung. and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardville, Branchburg and Somerville.

Statewide, there is a total of 58,151 cases, an increase of 3,563 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 2,183, an increase of 251 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 62,042 negative test results.
