SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County increased to 78 overnight, with the overall death toll in New Jersey increasing to 2,350; there are 1,598 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the Somerset County Department of Health on Sunday afternoon.
There are 50 cases in Somerville, according to the SCDOH; Somerset County reported 49 new cases overnight.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 22 Franklin Township residents; 16 in Bridgewater; 8 in North Plainfield; 8 in Green Brook, 5 in Bernards Township, 5 in Hillsborough, 3 in Warren; 2 in Bedminster; 2 in Bound Brook; 2 in Watchung. and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardville, Branchburg, Somerville and South Bound Brook.

Statewide, there is a total of 61,850 cases, an increase of 3,699 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 2,350, an increase of 167 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 64,885 negative test results.
