SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 related deaths continues to climb, with 132 reported in Somerset County on Friday, increasing by 9 overnight, and 3,840 in New Jersey, up from 3,518 on Wednesday, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.
There are 2.003 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the Somerset County Department of Health on Wednesday afternoon.
There are 61 cases in Somerville, including a second death reported overnight, according to the SCDOH; Somerset County reported 94 new cases overnight.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 41 Franklin Township residents; 27 in Bridgewater; 12 in Bernards Township, 10 in Green Brook; 8 in Hillsborough; 7 in North Plainfield; 6 in Warren; 4 in Watchung; 3 in Bedminster; 3 in Bound Brook; 2 in Manville; 2 in Somerville and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardsville, Branchburg, Montgomery, Millstone, Raritan and South Bound Brook.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills or Rocky Hill.

Statewide, there is a total of 78,467 cases, an increase of 3,150 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 3,840, an increase of 322 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 78,982 negative test results.
