SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 cases statewide has exceeded 100,000, with COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County increasing to 203 on Friday while the death toll in the United States topped 50,000.
The death toll in New Jersey is now 5,617, up from 5,368 on Thursday, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.
There are 2.663 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the SCDOH, an increase of 80 overnight.
There are 84 cases in Somerville.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 65 Franklin Township residents; 36 in Bridgewater; 18 in Bernards Township; 16 in Green Brook; 12 in North Plainfield; 11 in Hillsborough; 10 in Watchung; 8 in Warren; 7 in Bound Brook; 4 in Somerville; 4 in Bedminster;; 3 in Raritan; 2 in Branchburg; 2 in Manville, and one each in Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardsville, Montgomery, and South Bound Brook.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills or Rocky Hill.

Statewide, there is a total of 102,196 cases, an increase of 2,207 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 5,617, an increase of 249 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 100,159 negative test results.
There are 884,004 cases in the United States, with 50,373 deaths; worldwide, there are 2,780,094 cases and 194,664 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
