SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County increased to 46 overnight, with the overall death toll in New Jersey increasing to 1,232; there are 1,007 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the Somerset County Department of Health on Tuesday afternoon.
There are now 30 cases in Somerville, an increase of 2 overnight, according to the SCDOH; Somerset County reported 129 new cases overnight.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 11 Bridgewater residents; 10 in Franklin Township;; 7 in North Plainfield residents; 6 in Green Brook, 3 in Hillsborough, 2 in Peapack-Gladstone and one in each of these towns: Bedminster, Bernards Township, Bound Brook, Branchburg, Somerville, Warren and Watchung.

Statewide, there is a total of 44,416 cases, an increase of 3,326 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 1,232, an increase of 229 overnight, according to the state Department of Health.
Statewide, there is a total of 50,558 negative test results reported by the state-run and private laboratories, according to the NJDOH.
