SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health reported a total of 3,342 coronavirus cases on Monday, with 297 COVID-19 related deaths, an increase of 7 overnight.

There are 100 cases in Somerville.

The pop-up COVID-19 testing site at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will be open on May 5 and May 7. SCDOH has conducted 605 tests since it began operations two weeks ago.

The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 85 Franklin Township residents; 48 in Bridgewater; 30 in Hillsborough; 29 in Bernards Township; 24 in North Plainfield; 23 in Green Brook; 11 in Watchung; 11 in Warren; 11 in Bound Brook; 5 in Raritan; 4 in Somerville; 4 in Bedminster; 4 in Manville; 2 in Branchburg; 2 in South Bound Brook; 2 in Montgomery and one each in Peapack-Gladstone and Bernardsville.

No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills or Rocky Hill.

Here is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases by town: Bedminster, 32, Bernardsville Borough,57; Bernards Township, 204; Branchburg, 71; Bridgewater, 407; Bound Brook, 247: Far Hills, 3; Franklin, 1.022 Green Brook, 128; Hillsborough, 252; Manville, 110; Millstone, 2; Montgomery, 91; North Plainfield, 266; Peapack-Gladstone, 31; Raritan, 83; Rocky Hill, 5; Somerville, 100; South Bound Brook, 52; Warren, 103; Watchung, 76. 

Statewide, there is a total of 128,269 cases, an increase of 1,525 overnight, with 7,910 deaths reported, an increase of 39 since Sunday, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 148,951 negative test results.

At his daily press briefing Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy said the overnight totals for both cases and deaths in New Jersey were "suspect."

“The numbers may be low as a result of a network outage we had yesterday. This may have prevented all cases from being processed,” said Murphy.

There are 1,176,925 cases in the United States, with 68,326 deaths; worldwide, there are 3,563.919 cases and 250,134 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
