SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health Friday update shows six confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the borough, with a total of 219 cases in Somerset County, and six deaths caused by complications of COVID-19.
Somerset County reported 29 new cases overnight.
The Somerset County Department of Health confirmed the deaths of two North Plainfield residents overnight. Previously reported were the deaths of a Hillsborough resident and a Bedminister this week and two other deaths reported last week, a Franklin resident and a Bridgewater resident.
Here is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases by town: Bedminster, 7; Bernardsville Borough, 8; Bernards Township, 16; Branchburg, 16; Bridgewater, 24; Bound Brook, 4: Franklin, 47; Green Brook, 4; Hillsborough, 23; Manville, 8; Millstone, 1; Montgomery, 11; North Plainfield, 14; Peapack-Gladstone, 2; Raritan, 3; Somerville, 6; South Bound Brook, 5; Warren, 11; Watchung, 8.
No cases have been reported in Far Hills or Rocky Hill.
Statewide, there is a total of 8825 cases, an increase of 1,982 overnight, with the statewide death now at 108, an increase of 27 overnight, according to the state Department of Health.
There are 92,932 cases in the United States, with 1,320 deaths; worldwide, there are 566,269 cases and 25,423 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
