The program will cover an air condition/heating system equipped with the popular “Nest” thermostat. Veterans can be nominated for the award until May 27 by clicking here.

The A.J. Perri Cares program has always been involved with helping military veterans. According to a company press release, the program also supports Serenity Stables in Atlantic Highlands, N.J.. Serenity Stables “employs horses as therapy animals for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as special events for others who can benefit from a relaxing day in the field.”

"Everyone involved with the program is deeply affected," Perri said. “When you learn how much the veterans have sacrificed, our employees can't wait to be involved with the next one. All are vying to participate in the next opportunity, based on what they have heard and seen."

The press release said the new partnership with WABC-TV has “brought broader community awareness of the program, which already this year has aided veterans in South Amboy and Brick.”

For more information about the program, veterans, family members and friends are encouraged to go to AJPerri.com.

Originally based in Middletown and operated out of founder Albert Perri's garage beginning in 1971, A.J. Perri services clients throughout central and northern New Jersey using 250 trucks and 350 employees.
