East Brunswick Redevelopment: Get Ready to Start Shopping EB

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Township of East Brunswick has been very active in promoting the coming Shop East Brunswick program. The first piece of the program is a Property Tax Rebate Card, where residents will be able to earn money off of their taxes by shopping locally, which becomes active on June 1.

Currently there are 32 businesses signed up, ranging from diners and restaurants to professional services and car dealerships. A full list can be found online at and clicking on the tab that says “Shop East Brunswick Property Tax Cards” under “Important Links,” or it can be found online at when you register your card.

The cards are available to both residents and nonresidents. Nonresidents and renters in town will be able to participate and will receive their rebates as a check, rather than a deduction on their taxes. You can pick up your card at the East Brunswick Public Library, the East Brunswick Senior Center, The East Brunswick Recreation Department Building and the Mayor’s Office in Town Hall. Starting early next week, you will also be able to pick up your cards at select participating businesses.
