NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A Virginia man is jailed on a gun charge after police responded to a fight at the Farrington Inn Friday night, according to officials.

North Brunswick police said in a Facebook post Monday that officers responded to the Inn Friday evening to deal with a reported fight.

When they arrived, police said that several witnesses advised them that one of the individuals involved in the fight had a handgun.

As one of the officers approached Curtis Wright Jr., 22, of Newport News, Virginia, he allegedly fled the scene and attempted to hide nearby.

Police took him into custody shortly after and police recovered a handgun, the post said.

Other officers arrived on the scene and quelled the fight, police said.

The North Brunswick Fire and Rescue Squad treated an unidentified female victim for injuries during the initial assault, police said.

No other injuries were reported.

Wright is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick, police said.
