FRANKLIN PARK, NJ – A condominium fire on Gregory Lane, in Franklin Park, possibly killed the home owner Sunday night, after apparently being trapped on the first floor, according to a Breaking News Network alert.

According to the alert, the two-alarm fire broke out at a unit on Gregory Lane around 9:20 p.m. Sunday night, spreading to the attic of the complex. According to the alert, the roof collapsed in a neighboring unit. 

Arriving units found fire on one side of the building and in the attic.

Firefighters from Franklin, as well as Kendall Park in South Brunswick, and others turned out to battle the blaze.

The homeowner was unaccounted for and believed to have been trapped on the first floor of the unit, the alert said. 

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office was called to the scene to deal with the possible fatality, according to the alert.

The fire remains under investigation and we will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
