Candidates for the South Brunswick Township Council and Cranbury Township Committee are set.

Democrats and Republicans in both towns had until Monday at 4 p.m. to file their petitions with their respective township clerks.

In the race for the South Brunswick Township Council, incumbent Democrats Charlie Carley, Joe Camarota and Jo Hochman will each seek another four-year term on the governing body.

GOP challengers Michael Kushwarra and newcomer Brian Wojaczyk will face the trio in November.

There are no primary challenges’.

Hochman is seeking her second term while both Carley and Camarota have both spent the last decade on the panel.

Kushwarra ran for mayor in 2010 and for council in 2014.

In Cranbury Township, incumbent Democrat Glenn Johnson is running for re-election with incumbent Republican Mayor Dan Mulligan.

GOP challenger Fran McGovern, who ran for a committee seat in 2015, is hoping to unseat Johnson in November.

There are no primary challenges in that town as well.

The parties primaries are on June 7 and the general election will be held on Nov. 8.
