Kids Eat Free and $1 Short Stack Day at Piscataway’s IHOP Restaurant

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Kids Eat Free at IHOP Restaurants promotion is back, described as the “dinner deal that families love.” Every night through Sept. 25, kids 12 and under eat free with the purchase of each adult entrée from 4-10 p.m. at participating restaurants.

“We know that families are looking to soak up the final days of summer together and what better way to do that than over dinner,” said Kirk Thompson, Senior Vice President of Marketing for IHOP.

“IHOP and our franchisees invite guests to enjoy quality time together as a family while relishing the made-to-order breakfast foods, beverages and more that they crave and can only find at IHOP, now at an even better value with our Kids Eat Free offer,” he continued.

According to a IHOP news announcement, “the Kids Eat Free deal includes dishes from the Made for Fun kid’s menu, featuring favorites like the Silver 5 which serves five of IHOP’s silver dollar-sized world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes with a scrambled egg and hickory-smoked bacon; and Jr. Chicken and Waffles, with two all-white meat chicken strips paired with two Belgian waffle quarters and served with whipped butter and choice of dipping sauce.

“The latest kid’s menu innovation from IHOP is sure to be a crowd pleaser, too. New Cheesy Cheese Pizza starts with an Only-at-IHOP Criss-Croissants crust topped with tangy marinara sauce and melted Monterey Jack & Cheddar cheeses.”

IHOP restaurants and its franchisees also announced in another news release that they have again teamed up with No Kid Hungry in an effort to end childhood hunger in the nation.

The IHOP + No Kid Hungry campaign will include a special $1 Buttermilk Pancake Short Stack Day on Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at participating restaurants with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting the No Kid Hungry charity.

“IHOP and our franchisees are passionate about helping build the overall well-being of the children and families in communities everywhere, including addressing the critical issue of hunger in the United States,” said Thompson who is also the Marketing Advisory Board Member for the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry platform. “Together with No Kid Hungry, we can enable the more than 16 million children across America who struggle with hunger to start each and every day with the strength that comes from eating a good breakfast.”
