SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The traditional Memorial Day ceremonies will be held in South Brunswick on Monday, May 28.
At 10 am sharp, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9111 will host their traditional services. The services will be coordinated by local Commander Robert Kelly. The post headquarters is located at Henderson Road and Route 27 in Kendall Park
Those attending the ceremony are urged to park near the Kendall Park Post Office.
Local cub scouts are expected to participate in the ceremony. Highlights will also include rifle shots into the air.
Traffic on Henderson Road at the time of the ceremony is expected to be limited.
Almost immediately after that ceremony, the festivities move to the American Legion Post at 148 Major Road in Monmouth Junction for an 11 am start.
The highlight of these festivities will be musical selections from the South Brunswick High School Band under the leadership of Donna Cardaneo. The National Anthem will be performed by Virginia Kraft of the high school.
Traffic will be limited on Major Road during this ceremony, as well.
Refreshments will be served after this ceremony.
