NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Middlesex County Clerk’s Office would like to announce that County Clerk Elaine M. Flynn has been sworn in as the Vice President of the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COANJ).
Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, from District 16 (parts of Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset), administered her oath of office on October 1st at COANJ’s annual conference. Ms. Flynn will remain Vice President of COANJ for the next year. Previously, she held the position of COANJ’s secretary.
“I am honored to have been nominated for this position and given this opportunity”, said Middlesex County Clerk Elaine M. Flynn. “The Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey is an organization that I greatly admire and I have enjoyed my time serving with them.”
The COANJ includes all Registers, Surrogates, Sheriffs and County Clerks in the State. These officials work together to promote the best practices in each County office. They also submit and advocate legislation pertaining to the conduct, statutory requirements, and duties relating to these offices.
“Elaine Flynn has served as Middlesex County’s County Clerk for 19 years, and the entire Board of Chosen Freeholders knows she will continue to serve COANJ with the same excellence she has brought to our County,” said Middlesex County Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios. “I wish her the best of luck in continuing the improvement of services to the public.”
