Middlesex County Presents Program of Traditional Polish Music and Dance

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Middlesex County’s Office of Culture and Heritage invites you to a live concert of authentic Polish music and dance.

This free program is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at the Hungarian American Athletic Club located at 233 Somerset St. in New Brunswick.

The first of our featured performers will be HEROES, led by Grammy-nominated Edward Biegaj. The band will present a selection of Polish polka music and folk songs. Following this, the Pokolenie Dancers will perform polka and traditional Polish folk dances.

“Middlesex County prides itself on its cultural diversity, and we are proud to offer programs such as this one that celebrate the pride and joy of the Polish culture through music and dance,” said Middlesex County Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios.

“I encourage everyone to attend this event,” said Freeholder Kenneth Armwood, Chair of the Business Development and Education Committee. “It’s a great chance to honor your own background or to learn more about the music and traditions of another culture.”
