The Learning Experience of Monmouth Junction, conveniently located at 3754 US Highway 1 North in SB township, is proud to announce an exciting innovation with the launch of our After School Age program for school age children during the upcoming school year beginning in Sep 2017!

Our center has chosen to participate in a new School Age Experience curriculum, which brings the latest in 21st-century learning and skills into our classrooms. The new curriculum adopts a project-based learning approach, or PBL. This initiative will engage students in designing, planning, and completing extended projects that address authentic problems and challenges. Through these hands-on projects, your child will learn how to think critically, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively while problem-solving. All these skills will help students succeed in future studies and in their chosen careers.  The curriculum will consist of five-week units centered around student-crafted responses to driving questions. Throughout each unit, the children will make choices about their learning as they demonstrate creativity and self-expression. They will find purpose and meaning in their work as they devise and present solutions to real-world problems. We are looking forward to helping your child engage in rich and relevant learning experiences.

Our After-School Program for School Age Children includes the following in an all-inclusive tuition:

Op-Ed: New Jersey’s Out-of-Network Bill is a huge blow to the middle-class

April 11, 2018

As Trenton currently looks to balance the budget, once again it’s our state’s hardest working citizens who will be left holding the bag. This time, though, it will be the hardworking office and ancillary staff from our small business private medical practices.  A bill called “The Out-of-Network Consumer Protection Bill” A-2039/S-485 looks poised to make ...

Retro Review: Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo

Retro Review: Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo (Citadel Press, 1970)

How does a reviewer do justice to a book called “the great American novel”? I first read Johnny Got His Gun during the Viet Nam war, when young people, nationwide, were protesting fighting in a war that was a senseless waste of life; a war in which the United States had no business participating.

The Truth About My Reading

The Truth About My Reading

I didn't get my Composition and Literature teacher at Montclair State College at all. A crusty old man with a dour disposition, Mr. Smith always seemed angry and rude. He appropriately intimidated freshmen, even me, an English major, who found this common core course beneath my dignity. Frankly, as a graduate of Highland Park High School, and a survivor of Mrs.
