PISCATAWAY, NJ — A man was shot to death in the driveway of a West 3rd Street home in Piscataway early Friday evening, according to a Breaking News Network (BNN) alert which monitors for police and fire activity.

Piscataway Police and emergency medical services units responded to the backyard area of the home at the corner of Poplar Place where the victim was found lying on the driveway in front of an open garage.

An updated BNN alert later confirmed the man died from a gunshot wound to the head, and that police officials are investigating the incident as a homicide.

No statements about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the shooting were given from the police department or the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. It is also not known if a suspect was arrested.

But according to neighbors, two brothers who live in the house were heard arguing when both men pulled guns on each other, firing multiple rounds and killing one.

Looking from behind police lines, apparent bullet holes could be seen on the side of a Poplar Place house located next to the driveway where investigators also took measurements.

It is not known if any occupants from that house or any other neighbors were injured during the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation. TAPinto Piscataway will have more details as they become available.
