Sketches of Armed Suspects from Chatham Borough Jewelry Store Robbery Released

CHATHAM, NJ - Detailed artist renderings of two of the three suspects from Thursday's armed robbery at Crescent Jewelers in Chatham were released by authorities on Friday.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chatham Borough Police Chief Philip J.Crosson, Jr. confirm that an armed robbery occurred Thursday morning at Crescent Jewelers, located at 251 Main Street in Chatham Borough. The sketches were made by the state's Forensic Artist Unit.

Jillian Prisco, who was alone in the store at the time of the robbery, had seen the suspects the day before when they came into the store asking to have jewelry cleaned. According to Prisco's account, she cleaned the jewelry at no cost and the suspects returned the next day to rob the store, where they put a gun put to her head and was bound by duct tape.

A third suspect drove the getaway car and did not enter the store.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor's office, on July 28, 2016 at approximately 10:54 am, law enforcement authorities received a report of an armed robbery that had occurred earlier that morning at Crescent Jewelers in Chatham Borough.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that two black males entered the store and ultimately stole an undetermined amount of jewelry. During this incident, a handgun was produced. The males then exited the store and entered a Silver or Grey Jeep that was driven by a third black male.

The following descriptions have been provided to law enforcement:

Suspect #1: Black male, wearing shorts and a red t-shirt.

Suspect #2: Black male wearing a traffic style vest.

Suspect #3: Black male, bald with a beard. (Vehicle Driver)
