SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The South Brunswick girls soccer team outscored Edison’s J.P. Stevens Hawks by three goals in the second half to easily take Thursday’s victory by a final score of 6-1.
South Brunswick shut out the Hawks 2-0 in the first half and then went on a 4-1 scoring barrage in the second period to seal the victory.
The Vikings Adrianna Mouzakis scored half of South Brunswick’s goals with Moriya Frankel, Julianna Franco and Francesca Dimitrakis each adding goals of their own in the match.
Goalie Sydney Schneider only allowed one score and battled off six other shots on goal during the match.
Hawks goalie Serena Zilli allowed six goals, but prevented seven additional shots, and Samantha Dzema scored the only goal for the Hawks.
South Brunswick improves to 2-2, while the Hawks fall to 1-3.
