I would like to send a note of appreciation to the South Brunswick Township snow removal crew, the South Brunswick Police Department, EMS personnel, and everyone who helped keep the residents safe, informed and updated on blizzard conditions, kept the roadways plowed, and all who worked around the clock to help serve others during the historic Blizzard Jonas.
As most people stayed nice and warm in their homes, I witnessed South Brunswick Township snow plows go through my neighborhood numerous times on Saturday during the storm and on Sunday after the storm.
Much to my surprise, by Sunday afternoon, Promenade Boulevard, Route 1 and other primary roadways in South Brunswick were clear of the record breaking 24 inches of snow due to the job well done by the 35 Public Works crews.
I was also impressed to hear that many South Brunswick police officers stayed at an area hotel, instead of being home with their own families, in order to save township resources and be able to work the required long hours.
EMS personnel and others also helped many get through the rough conditions.
Thank you to all who worked to serve the South Brunswick community during this blizzard, your excellent services and dedication are sincerely appreciated.
